The day trip to Yamunotri started with bus rides to Hanuman Chatty at 5 am. After a breakfast at Hanuman Chatty we took jeep rides to Janaki Chatty, the jump off point and from there took ponies or 'phalkies' , which are chairs carried by 4 people.
Master was dressed resplendently in blue, orange and gold. The nearly 100 group all clad in kavi following the master.
One of the group said, 'Riding on a mule with rain pouring in torrents, with the mule guides trying to overtake one another and steep ravines staring you in the face within a few inches of the mules' feet has been the happiest moment of my life. Any other time I would have given such an experience a miss. Who would have wanted to ride on unpaved roads with serious risks? I would have never wanted to miss this experience.
The evening satsang started at 830 pm.
Answering a question master said, 'Most developed countries build infrastructure such as roads, dams, electric connections and so on. These are important for what we consider to be factors to enhance quality of life in a civilized society. But these are not the most important things in understanding the meaning of human life. Exploring the inner space is what leads to an understanding of who you are and understanding the meaning of your life.
When you understand the inner space you can never be disturbed. You may have all the infrastructural supports but you can still be depressed. Please understand that you are sacrificing your life in the name of infrastructural developments that superficially benefit society.'
