The Himalayas 2008 yatris, set off
from the Royal Residency hotel in
Karol Bagh, Delhi at 7:30am on 28th
June 2008 morning.
Some 8 hours later and breakfast on
the way, the convoy of 4 buses reached
Rishikesh. After a late lunch everyone
was at the banks of the Ganges.
At Rishikesh, Master performed the
Vraja Homa along with the rituals. As
he had explained earlier these rituals
are meant for one's inner healing and
dissolution of samskaras.
As he completed the Poornahuthi,
with a prayer to the Gods and the
ancestors to accept the offering and
shower upon the assembly, the heavens
did indeed open up. Master later said
that this was no accident and that it
was a very auspicious beginning to the
yatra, which will be successful.
Back at the hotel, Master
distributed Kaavis to all.
